oi!! Once upon a time,in a faraway land,there's a group of courageous people who dared to challenge the unknown territory of Fraser Island.  Expedition team 'mencari fosil dengo' yeahh!!!4WD-hiring company:Rent-a-bomb??Sounds dodgy ain't it but that is the fact.We couldn't foretell that the name will really materialize itself and literally meant that in the future to come.Apparently the person who suppose to give Syam went someplace else??In the end,we finally got moving a bit past noon although we're supposed to leave at 9.00 am.The journey took us about 3hr before reaching the barge and getting on the ferry.10 mins cruising and we finally set foot on the Fraser Island.  Land Rover tersekat.Ade Dengo melekat di tayar.Journey to the camping site of Dundunbarra(eh btol ke ni??) - one and half hours!!!yes,I was amazed myself because the beach length looks endless.Can't feel my butt anymore because of the 'kebas' and plus sakit belakang gile!!With all the bumpy and cornering,what do you expect??Nothing much to do bcuz we arrived at sunset other than setting up camp,which took us quite a while to understand the mechanism which was actually quite simple.More trouble with attack of the killer mosquitoes"1 die and a million moreto go".At least I think they are healthy.Nyamuk hutan la katakan.The misery doesn't end there when it turns out that the stove isn't working.We had three stoves.None of them worked.In the end we used the BBQ pit to cook the chicken and feast ourselves(sape marinate??rasa ayam masak kicap...) after the long hard journey. The thing about this camping that sux is: 1.We can't make campfires 2.Can't make noise after 9 pm WTF!!!! What's good of a camp without campfires and having fun till late at night.It has been my dream to start a campfire while laying down watching the stars.I felt like my fun was being ripped by Aussie bushrangers completely.At least we still had the chance of watching the stars at the beach after a bit of walk.Ok,I admit it that I was being 'jakun' watching my first shooting stars and a couple more.What's more amazing was that we even saw a MOONRISE!.It sounds  Bulan bintang menjadi saksiridiculous but indeed it happened.The night ended with Amar didn't get to see a single shooting star.TAK FOKUS! to be continued... -MAPEN®- |
